“Families need the Bible more than ever. This A+ version for kids will capture their imaginations and call their hearts to the Father. And I’m confident The Biggest Story Bible Storybook will do the same for any parent who reads these beautifully illustrated pages out loud to their children.”

Melissa B. Kruger, Director of Women’s Content, The Gospel Coalition; author, Growing Together

“As parents, we want to teach our children about the Bible, but sometimes it’s intimidating to know where or how to begin. Kevin DeYoung’s new book The Biggest Story Bible Storybook is a wonderful way to introduce children to individual stories of the Bible while helping them grasp the main storyline of Scripture. It’s beautifully illustrated, fun to read, and will help parents teach big truths to young hearts.”

Matt Smethurst, Planting Pastor, River City Baptist Church, Richmond, Virginia; Managing Editor, The Gospel Coalition

“Magnificent. With typical clarity and verve, Kevin DeYoung captures the wonder of the greatest story ever told. My children are going to have a hard time reading it, though, because their dad will keep stealing it to read himself.”

Emily Jensen, coauthor, Risen Motherhood: Gospel Hope for Everyday Moments; Cofounder and Content Director, Risen Motherhood

“Through rich, understandable narratives and striking illustrations, The Biggest Story Bible Storybook captures children with something even more beautiful than this book—the story of redemption. Kids are going to scoot in close to see and hear what’s next in this captivating retelling of Scripture. I know this will bless many families with a deeper understanding of the Bible.”

You guys! This children’s Bible storybook is THE BEST! It isn’t just for children either. Are you an adult who finds the idea of reading the Bible overwhelming? Do you overthink about how to approach it? Do you wonder if you are interpreting it correctly? Do those thoughts prevent you from doing it at all? This could be your answer to being able to learn the word of God. It is NOT the Bible, but it is a book of Bible stories, covering the Bible. I would suggest that you read a story, in the book, and then follow up by reading the actual chapter in the Bible. Guess what else? You can also watch all of Part 1 on YouTube! They have been loading these stories and continue to add more but Part 1, in its entirety, is now on YouTube. This could be a great thing to do as a family. Each video is only about 4 minutes long. I am not ashamed to admit that I am the person who has felt overwhelmed by reading the Bible. I never understood how to do it, or in what order, and I had trouble retaining what I read. I, quite honestly, felt stupid. I tried many times to tackle it. I bought this book, for my children, and it ended up being a blessing, for me. I understand things so much better now. I pray that it can be a blessing, for you too, if you answered yes to any of the questions above. 😊

This bible arrived wrapped in plastic and seems to be well made. It is large and heavy which seems satisfying and like it should last many years. The images are beautiful and eye catching. The pages aren’t super thin and the covers print is raised which adds a nice touch. This should be great for kids with a short attention span with the vivid illustrations and short chapters. Adults will gain something too, especially if new to reading the Bible.I haven’t read a children’s Bible since I was a kid, so I’m not sure if this is common, but the chapters are more of an overview of what is in the Bible and also makes it relatable to today’s lifestyles. It’s not very in depth. I think it’s a great entry level, but the adult should have some knowledge of the Bible to fill in the gaps. Also, though the book is written by a pastor he is human and this is his interpretation, which seems good from what I’ve seen, but I think it’s important to know or refer to scripture yourself. The author pretty much states this himself in the introduction.I wish there was some scripture in here even if small, that’s why I took off a star.

I was struggling a little on logistics of faithfully leading my family in the discipline of night time devotions and prayer with my 5 and 2 year old. This is a great way to break up the stories in the Bible into conversational topics that will keep my boys’ attention, and there is a small prayer at the end of each story that is appropriately short for their young minds while still helping them learn how to be disciplined in daily reading/prayer/devotion. One does not get to have good discipline in anything without starting small, so I hope this will be helpful in establishing the routine that I never quite figured out as a kid growing up.

It’s very important to my husband and I that our children be told the story of the Bible, not bits and pieces out of context. We are avid listeners of the Bible Project where they show you how the Bible is one big story and needs to be read sequentially in order to understand it. This Bible story book I bought for my kids and I was not a fan of the Bible/Sunday school curriculum I was finding on line. And not a fan of what was being taught in their Sunday school. It’s basically just become screens. When I opened this story book I was amazed at the artwork. They’ve broken down the story so it captures my children’s attention and at the same time teaches me. This is a beautiful tool and one I am so grateful I purchased.Pro:The artwork is beautifulThe story is engagingEasy to readCon:As with any book, our own cultural mores and personal beliefs can be weaved into the tapestry of a story. Because this is not the Bible it has no verses (it’s a storybook) so there will be times in reading and realise that sometimes it can seem that it is the authors interpretation. Even so. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to know the story of the Bible a little more.Recommended: 👍🏼 highly recommend. Will be giving as gifts

If you want a story bible that doesn’t treat your child like a toddler story hour then this is the version for you. Seems to be super popular in “Reformed” circles… but don’t worry it’s not Calvinism so relax. Has a bit of humor to help with serious topics yet not making light of God’s Word and explains words your young reader may not understand. Then there is the art… as a Graphic Designer, I’ve seen my fair share of art for children’s books. If these were available on canvas I’d decorate my house with them!

Oh my goodness. My toddlers (3&2) LOVE this Bible! We listen to the podcast on Spotify and read through the book together in the mornings. Highly recommend!!!

We’ve been using this with our kids after going through the Jesus StoryBook Bible (which we love) quite a few times. It has different/more stories and is written in a very readable way for kids 9 and under.

This bible has down to earth, easy to understand for written for children passages. The artwork is beautiful, too. My child loves it and asks to read it often. He also refers to some of the pictures which help him solidify tue content of what we have read. The pages are nice and thick l, so it will last for decades. This is a very high quality children’s Bible, I highly recommend it!

Our pastor recommended this Bible version for kids. It tells the important stories and is written is a very conventional tone. My kids love the illustrations and can easily recall the stories. It is colorful and fun and the prayer at the end of each story is short and easy for my kids to relate to.We don’t have to ask them to come sit for reading the Bible, they insist on it and always want more!I would recommend this for all families. My kids are 5 and 8.

We love this Bible! The pictures are mesmerizingly beautiful. I read a little each day to my girls and would say it’s definitely geared towards ages 4+. My 5 year-old loves it and understands the stories and explanations, but the writing is probably a little advanced for my 3 year-old. I look forward to reading from it each day and am excited for my 3yo to “grow into it” a little more. Would highly recommend for ages 4+!
